
Tanya Wright is a multi-disciplinary artist working across performance, literature, and film. Best known for her role as Crystal Burset in Orange is the New Black, her chameleonic range has earned her two SAG Awards (Best Ensemble). Celebrated by the Brooklyn Book Festival as one of its "finest debut novelists," she is the creator of the beloved Hairiette of Harlem children's book series. Wright holds a masters in Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, as well as a degree from Vassar College. She has been recognized with both the Harvard Innovative Venture in Education Award and the Education Entrepreneurship Fellowship.
